Office Computing Incident - Printing

Overview

This is the service to report a technical issue with an MFD (multifunction device) or laser printer in an office area.

Intended Users

Faculty/Staff/Student Workers

When To Request Service

  • Printer repeatedly jamming or misfeeding
  • Poor quality printouts (printing faded, colors are inaccurate, printing is skewed on the page)
  • A printer is displaying an error message or error light
  • Pages are being printed with a crease on the page

When Not To Request Service

If you are printing to or copying at a multifunction device, and you are missing some or all of the cost centers you should be authorized for, please have your direct supervisor contact Duplication. OIT does not handle the assignment of cost centers to user accounts.

To report an issue with an HP laser printer, do not use this service. Please contact Laser Tech Systems at (262) 521-9555. Please be sure to have the Equipment ID number available when calling. The Equipment Number is a five-digit number printed on a white "Laser Tech Systems" label affixed to the laser printer.

To report an issue with a Canon multifunction device, please click the Request Service button to the right. Please be sure to have the printer number available when completing the form. The printer number is a five to seven-character alphanumeric string printed on a smaller white label affixed to the front of the multifunction device.
